We now have another reason. Google has just announced that websites that are not mobile-friendly will be penalised in searches made on mobile devices. In Google’s words …
“Starting April 21, we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”
You probably made sure that your phone number was clearly visible and that all the important information could be reached with the minimum of effort? I thought so.
