How to engage audience with your brand?

It is a common misconception that you have to be a big brand in order to have a big following, big marketing budget with expensive gadgets to analyse your data, boost your posts and deliver conversions.

However this is not always the case.

Especially in marketing – creativity, knowing your product & your target audience is much more important than any flashy gadget or tool which promises you the hacks of the digital world.

We are all human beings & have hearts, what appeals to us is what we can relate to. Often we forget that behind the business brand, there are people. We place expectations and demands on our tools & marketing budgets to deliver results, likes, hits & comments.

But what are those results worth if they are empty & there is no connection with the content which you are posting? What are millions of hits adding to your business if nobody then trusts you enough to come and work with you, use your products or purchase your services?

A great example of this is Hafod Hardware with their Christmas campaign this year. Where the owner of the business videos his son & created the advert simply on his phone.

The advert is smart, cute and playful – the little boy has charm and the simplicity is something which we can all relate to. It has gone viral because it touched the right spot for those who watched, liked and shared.

It captures very well what many of us go through on daily basis, and what we may be (secretly) dreaming of– returning to our childhood innocence.

When advertising your business the most important thing is to ensure what you are putting out is a genuine representation of what you have to offer. We are all very astute and can tell when brands are putting on a front or whether they truly put their heart and soul into what they do.

And those are the brands we trust, those are the brands we like to work with and purchase from.

So, don’t hold back flaunting your goods just because you think you may not have enough money for advertisement. Start small, post organic & build a local base.

As time grows and your foundation is strong, begin with little investments, you can try with a budget of £5 for one day & see the response you receive, the kind of people your content appeals to and whether they are the kind of customers you are looking for.

But never miss out on quality – quality in your services & quality in what you post online. This is what builds your brand and ensures that it stays strong through the years.
